Sebastian the werewolf’s review:

This book is about a girl named Melody who’s very smart under all her disabilities.

Role models:  Melody tries to get through her life the best she can even though she can’t walk or talk. her mother defends Melody whenever someone makes assumptions about her. Mrs. V gives Melody kindness and discipline that benefits her in big ways.

Violence:  some of the characters have a verity of disabilities. a fish jumps out of it’s bowl and dies. a toddler gets run over by a car.
